Residential Visits
We know that Residential visits form part of the wide and varied curriculum offer. They provide our children with challenge, life skills, resilience, self-confidence, and build their self-esteem. They are also more importantly engaging, unforgettable, and exciting.
At Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary we offer the opportunity for your children to attend two residential visits during the time with us. In the Spring term of Year 4 the children have the opportunity to visit Crosby Hall Educational Trust (CHET) for 3 days (2 nights). Year 5 and 6 also have the opportunity to visit France on a Ski Trip residential which is organised by Local Authority (one week).
Crosby Hall Educational Trust:
CHET is located in Little Crosby just down the road from school, but once there you could be miles away from anywhere. The children stay in an old converted farm and coach house surrounded by trees and woodland. We have exclusive use of the centre while we are there and this provides us with the opportunity to work with our children in developing their skills at their own pace. The atmosphere is very relaxed and designed with the children in mind. Normally one class at a time stays at CHET but we have taken more. We have been taking our Year 4 children to CHET now for over 14 years and our children enjoy and achieve at some amazing activities while there.
For more information please click on the PowerPoint below from this year’s meeting or why not watch what our children think about CHET.
